This Privacy Policy describes how AI Art Generator ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you install and use our Shopify application ("App").

AI Art Generator transforms photos into stunning AI-generated art portraits.

By installing our App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.1 Information from Shopify

When you install our App, we receive the following information through Shopify's APIs:

• Store domain (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com)
• Merchant email address
• Product data for checkout configuration

2.2 Information You Provide

• Google Gemini API key (stored encrypted)
• AI style configurations (names, prompts, example images)
• Watermark settings

2.3 Information from Your Customers

• Uploaded photos for AI portrait generation
• Generated AI portraits
• The Shopify customer ID of logged-in customers, or a random browser identifier for guests, used only to count free generations and to apply content-safety limits
• A customer's email address, only when the merchant enters it in the app to send that customer their original image

Important: We do not collect customers' names, addresses, payment details, or other personally identifiable information (PII), with one exception: when a merchant chooses to email a customer their original image, the customer email address the merchant enters is stored with that send record. It is used only to send that email and show the merchant who it was sent to, and it is deleted when the customer asks Shopify to delete their data or when the store's data is deleted. Uploaded photos are processed and stored temporarily for the purpose of generating AI portraits.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Providing Services: To generate AI portraits from uploaded photos
• App Functionality: To authenticate your store and manage your settings
• Image Storage: To store generated images for order fulfillment
• Error Logging: To diagnose and fix technical issues
• Usage Analytics: To track trial usage limits
• Content Safety: When Google's safety filters block a photo, we keep that photo for 7 days so the merchant and we can review the block, then delete it automatically
• Original Image Delivery: When a merchant sends a customer their original image, we email the customer a private download link that expires after 30 days
• Generation Feedback: When a merchant sends feedback on a generation from the app, we receive the links to the images of that generation (including the customer's uploaded photo) and its prompt, and use them only to investigate and improve result quality

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or sell it to third parties.

Our App uses the following third-party services:

• Store Settings: Retained until you uninstall the App
• AI Styles: Retained until you delete them or uninstall the App
• Generated Images: Stored for order fulfillment; retained for 90 days after generation
• Error Logs: Retained for 30 days for debugging purposes
• Photos Blocked by Content Safety: Deleted automatically 7 days after the block
• Free-Generation Counters: Retained until you uninstall the App

When you uninstall the App, all your data associated with AI Art Generator is automatically deleted within 48 hours in compliance with Shopify's requirements.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption: API keys are encrypted before storage
• Secure Transmission: All data is transmitted over HTTPS
• Access Control: Only authenticated requests can access your data
• Data Isolation: Each App's data is stored separately
• Database Security: Our database is hosted on secure, managed infrastructure

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws, you have certain rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data
• Right to Restrict Processing: Request limitation of how we use your data
• Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Right to Object: Object to certain processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
